The Pensions Reserve Fund ( Fonds de Réserve pour les Retraites ou FRR) was set up in July 2001 under the government of Lionel Jospin with the aim of using funds from privatisations of state holdings to finance the future shortfall of the state PAYG pensions system. It became operational in 2003. ==History== At its creation the target was to build a reserve fund of 150 Bn EUR by 2020.
